Okay, it's Friday afternoon. Time to wind the workday down and think about the weekend activities. What's going on this weekend? Football playoffs. That's what's going on. Bring on the chips and salsa, the chili, the buffalo wings, Hi-Def television, DVRs, Coopers homebrew, and lazyboy chairs (friends optional).
Speaking of lazyboy, I stopped by the local store on my way back from playing basketball and picked up a beer to try while I wrote this blog. Lo and behold, I found an India Pale Ale from Lazy Boy Brewing. As Matt Hendy quoted "It was their butterscotch ale mislabeled as India Pale Ale." This beer is loaded with diacetyl. So if butter is your thing, go for it. But I digress

Football. My predictions for the weekend are based solely on who I want to win not on logic or commentary from John Clayton or any other talking head who makes a lot of money blabbing about football.
I think New Orleans will beat Arizona because I went to school in New Orleans and I think the fans of the New Orleans Saints deserve to witness success for their favorite team. Also, I don't like Arizona (I did root for them in last year's Super Bowl, though. They were the lesser of two evils) because they beat my hometown team, the Seahawks.
I think Minnesota will beat the Dallas Cowboys. I don't like the Dallas Cowboys. It goes back to the days when I grew up in the Washington, DC area. You just didn't like the Cowboys - Tom Landry, his hat and suits, Roger Staubach, etc. Hated them. Go Vikings!
My prediction is Baltimore will beat the Colts as payback for stealing the Colts from them. At least Indianapolis could have left the name in Baltimore.
Now it get's a little complicated. The Jets and Chargers -- both teams deserve to win. Fans of both teams have stuck by their teams and have yet to achieve the holy grail. Okay, coin flip. Jets win.
