Just completed a trip to New York. I took my family to a conference there. My affiliate marketing manager had a table at the meat market for the Affiliate Summit East in midtown Manhattan. It was loads of fun. I love New York. There's so much to do.

After taking the train from DC at the crack of dawn on Sunday morning, we arrived at Penn Station at 9:30 AM. From there we hoofed it with our baggage to our midtown hotel. We did early arrival check-in at the hotel. My wife and kids then explored FAO Schwaz while I gathered the MakeBeer.net packages for the GTO Management table at the meet market.  The meet market was a great time to meet many interesting people. I took a break to have lunch with my family at 30 Rock.  After the meet market ended, we went to the Empire State Building observation deck at dusk to see the city lights turn on.

Monday was completely dedicated to my family. We had breakfast at the Morning Star Cafe. Then we took the subway to the Museum of Natural History where my kids pretended they were Ben Stiller in "Night at the Museum." There is so much to see at this museum. You could spend several days there. But we wanted to check out Central Park. So we did. That night we decided to visit a different neighborhood. We went to Soho and had pizza at Arturo's for dinner. My kids, like almost all other kids, love pizza. We had to have pizza in a New York pizzaria. We also tried the beers from Brooklyn Brewery.

It was a brief trip. Sunday morning we strolled through Times Square. The kids wanted to ride the ferris wheel at the Toys 'R Us. But time was short before we had to catch our return train to DC.
